The Norwegian Deep House sensation and beloved member of the MHL family, Henrik Villard, cruise back into the MHL Green series with two sun-soaked and heart-meltingly infectious slices of his trademark lush and smooth deep house. The originals are followed by remixes from the Dutch duo Fouk and Norwegian producer Gordon Joe. Together, the originals and the remixes, craft a perfect vision of a beautiful spring ahead.

Villard’s ability to blend classic Deep House vibes and golden-age House aesthetics is unrivalled; creating distinctive, beautiful, and exciting house records from his home in the capital of Norway, Oslo. A truly standout EP, even for Villard who delivers quality time and time again.

EP opener ‘Don’t Want It’ sets the spirit in a deeply meditative style. Rolling and lively bass patterns intertwine with jazzy melodies and calming chords, slowly making the flowers bloom across the fields as the sun slides over the horizon. Similar, warm and captivating, ‘With Every Move’ is a Deep House number that wears its heart on its chest. As a new dawn breaks the urgency of life stirs once again, sound-tracked by a never-ending rollercoaster of emotion that smudges the earth.

The remixes on this EP come from the Dutch producer duo Fouk, whose love for Deep House is perfectly presented in their remix of ‘Don’t Want It’. Their version is filled with its smooth keys and perfectly placed samples from the original. Gordon Joe takes ‘With Every Move’ into a downtempo territory, low-slung House rhythms paired with delicate bass patterns form the core of this groover that cruises along at a laid-back pace, gliding the listener further into a meditative groove.
